Dr. Nadia Kawar
Dr. Nadia Kawar graduated from the University of Jordan after receiving her Degree in Dental Surgery and her specialty training in Periodontics. She also completed her Master’s Degree in Dental Sciences from St. Louis University.
Dr. Kawar is board certified by the American Board of Periodontology and is an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Illinois.
She is involved in charity projects with the Boys Scouts of America, the Christain Medical Dental Association, and is the Interim President of the dental branch of the National Arab American Association.
Dr. Kawar lives in the western suburbs with her husband, her children, and a puppy named Daisy. When she is not working, Dr. Kawar enjoys cooking, travel, and music.
“My relationship with my patients is built on mutual respect. I involve them in the decision making and I make sure they understand their therapy needs. I value being a health care provider, promoting oral health, and educating patients about their dental needs. As people are living longer, their periodontal health has to be maintained and it’s my job to make sure they have a healthy mouth throughout their life. Through my profession, I love connecting with other humans on a daily basis, whether as a professor teaching my students or as a provider promoting health.”
