Debra obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Loyola University with a major in Dental Hygiene. After graduation she began her career working part time as a dental hygiene clinical instructor at Loyola University as well as a dental hygiene clinician in Western Springs. Teaching the clinical aspects of dental hygiene while also performing the skills in a dental office helped her understand how important detail is to her patients.
Debra believes learning is a lifelong journey and continuously furthers her education with the newest technologies, techniques and research in dentistry by attending numerous courses each year. She enjoys sharing what she learns with her patients, especially about gum disease, Invisalign, oral cancer and cosmetic improvements. By educating her patients, she allows them to make the right choices for their whole health.
Born and raised in the city of Chicago, Debra currently lives in the western suburbs with her husband Don for the last 10 years. Don and Debra have 5 beautiful children. Time with her family is precious and she especially loves to cook and celebrate with all of them. Debra also enjoys a good mystery novel or movie. As a dental hygienist, Debra feels much like a detective; she must examine and evaluate clues and records in order to uncover the causes and then treat accordingly. Since every patient is unique, their recipe for health is also unique.
