Dr. Anas Al Najjar – Board Certified Orthodontist

Dr. Najjar obtained his Doctoral of Dental Medicine Degree from Boston University, Goldman School of Dental Medicine, where he received awards for ‘Excellence in Orthodontics’ and ‘Excellence in Restorative Dentistry’. Dr. Najjar’s fascination with the biomechanics of Orthodontics and the magic of creating beautiful smiles moved him to pursue an Advanced Education in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics residency at the Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine in New York.
During his residency, Dr. Najjar was involved in a number of research projects, and has publications i the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics (AJODO) and the Journal if Clinical Orthodontics (JCO). In 2011, Dr. Najjar was granted the ‘Charles Schultz’ Award at the 111th annual American Association of Orthodontics (AAO) meeting for his research on radiation doses from Cone-beam CT X-rays, and has given talks on the subject at multiple dental meetings.
Dr. Najjar is certified and has valuable experience treating patients using Incognito lingual braces, Invisalign, TADs (mini-implants), Orthognathic Surgical cases, and various other orthodontics techniques. Dr. Najjar also has experience working within a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care for cleft palate and syndromic patients. Dr. Najjar is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics, and attends annual meetings and study groups to keep abreast on new technologies and contemporary orthodontic treatment modalities.
Dr. Najjar’s acute attention to detail in esthetics shined through when he was faced with the challenge of patients wanting to temporarily remove their braces mid-treatment due to a special upcoming occasion, such as a sweet sixteen party or a wedding. Realizing the importance of this demand to esthetically drive patients, Dr. Najjar devised a method to temporarily remove braces for these special occasions, and put them back on without losing the time in treatment.
When he’s not working, Dr. Najjar enjoys playing soccer and tennis, plays the guitar in his spare time, and loves to travel.
